Service Teams

Service Teams are available to all University of Utah employees, managers and prospective employees as a one-stop resource for Human Resources services including Employment, Compensation, Employee Relations, Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action, Benefits and Payroll.

Each Service Team has two primary points of contact: the HR Consultant and the HR Representatives. For any HR needs, you should contact your Service Team to utilize the one-stop HR support they can provide.

MAIN ROLES

  1. Role of Compliance
    • Ensure that policies are followed and that legal requirements are met with relation to policy interpretation, fair hiring and pay practices, and legal compliance in order to prevent/stop unfair or unlawful management practices.
    • Make recommendations to managers and employees and guide them through the appropriate processes.
  2. Role of Coach/Facilitator
    • Provide coaching to both managers and employees on a variety of issues.
    • Provide coaching on performance management, confidential advising, mediation, workplace issues, job development, etc.
